Maintenance Technician

The Dermot Company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the General Manager, the maintenance technician will work with the property team to uphold the community’s aesthetic and ensure a safe living environment for the residents. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Ryder Place - Quaye location. The primary work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, plus availability for emergency on-call responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
- Routinely inspect building mechanical systems (e.g., air conditioning and boilers) and equipment to ensure proper performance and maintenance
- Perform all services in compliance with Dermot policies and procedures, safety and health regulations, and applicable laws (e.g., Fair Housing Laws)
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the maintenance team; report all issues to the Resident Manager/General Manager
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
- Complete preventative maintenance to enhance the safety and management of the property and reduce risks and emergencies
- Assist in maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Complete and participate in training as needed
- Complete projects and tasks assigned by the Resident Manager and General Manager
