FAU Student Internship Invitation — Louis Carter.
At a glance: the complete growth loop
VIDEO → EMPLOYER INTEREST → FREE CERTCHECK REPORT → QUALIFIED CONTACT → SALES CONVERSATION → FEEDBACK INTO NEW VIDEOS
Every employer-facing video needs one clear next step: “Discover how your own company is positioned. Get your free Employer Brand and Certification Eligibility Reports at CertCheck.” The exact report names and workflow should be checked against the live site before publishing. The reports describe public employer-brand signals and preliminary eligibility; they are not proof of certification.
What students actually make
SERIES 1 | Would Early-Career Talent Work Here? Students react to career-site messaging and discuss what makes employer claims credible. Avoid declaring that any named employer is good or bad without substantiated evidence.
SERIES 2 | Early-Career Talent Asks the CEO / CHRO. Students invite willing executives and HR leaders to answer candid questions about career opportunities, leadership, flexibility, trust, and development. Offer each participating employer an approved shareable video clip.
SERIES 3 | What Young Talent Actually Wants. Consent-based campus interviews capturing individual student perspectives. Do not portray these as representative research.
SERIES 4 | Inside a Most Loved Workplace. Interviews with participating certified companies about specific, verified early-career experiences. Obtain employer approval and keep certification claims accurate.
SERIES 5 | The Employer Brand Challenge. Direct-to-camera clips that ask employers whether their reputation is attracting the talent they need and invite them to get their free CertCheck reports.
Sample 30-second video script
HOOK (0–5s): “If you’re hiring early-career talent, what would make someone like me choose your company?” INSIGHT (5–20s): Student shares one specific preference or a short approved interview excerpt. BRIDGE (20–25s): “Your career page tells one story. What does the rest of your employer brand say?” CTA (25–30s): “Employers: get your free Employer Brand and preliminary Certification Eligibility Reports at CertCheck. Link in the post.”
How video viewers become employer prospects
1. Create a dedicated CertCheck entry link or landing-page variant for the FAU creator campaign. Clearly state what the free report includes, who it is for, and what happens next. Keep the employer company-name field prominent.
2. Add tracking to each video/post: campaign ID, creator, series, platform, employer partner, and source. Use tagged links and approved CRM integrations. Do not assume the existing site already supports these fields.
3. Capture the employer's company, work email, name, role, report-request status, report-completion status, and consent/permissions appropriate to the form. Preserve existing privacy disclosures.
4. Define the qualification threshold: employer matches target customer profile; HR, CEO, talent acquisition, or employer-brand contact is identified; relevant need or interest is present; and there is an agreed next step. Student viewers, generic followers, and anonymous clicks do not qualify.
5. Route qualified inquiries to the MLW sales owner in HubSpot, with the original video, report status, and conversation notes. Sales owns pricing, certification discussions, and closing.
6. Track the full path: views → relevant employer clicks → report starts → completed reports → qualified employer contacts → meetings → opportunities → revenue. Diagnose where the funnel leaks before increasing content volume.
The two student roles
CREATOR / INTERVIEWER: Owns story angles, research, scripts, on-camera hosting, guest interviews, filming, and first-pass video editing. Produces strong hooks and employer-facing calls to action.
PRODUCER / DISTRIBUTION & GROWTH: Owns guest and company outreach with approved templates, scheduling, releases, editing support, captions, publishing queue, LinkedIn adaptations, tracked CertCheck links, employer resharing, CRM source notes, and weekly reporting.
BOTH: Own deliverables together from concept through tracked results. Neither independently changes certification claims, sends unapproved outreach, controls sensitive accounts, or promises report or certification outcomes.
Weekly operating rhythm
MONDAY: Review prior week's report funnel, choose topics and target employers, draft invitations and scripts. TUESDAY–WEDNESDAY: Record interviews, edit and caption, prepare employer approval. THURSDAY: Supervisor approves batch; students publish and coordinate approved employer sharing. FRIDAY: Update tracking, review completed reports and qualified leads, hand off meetings, and present a one-page results summary.
30-day pilot and decision rule
Illustrative team goals, to be calibrated to agreed hours: 12 approved short videos; 30 targeted employer invitations; five employer conversations or participation commitments; and a stretch goal of two to three qualified sales meetings. More important than these output counts: whether identifiable target companies actually complete reports and request follow-up.
At day 30, compare two acquisition paths: A) direct invitations to employer leaders to participate in or share a video; B) organic discovery from social posts. Measure qualified report completions and meetings per path. Continue or expand only if there is evidence of a repeatable employer acquisition mechanism, not just engagement.
Success scorecard
CONTENT: videos approved/published, completion rate, relevant engagement. DISTRIBUTION: invitations sent, replies, interviews booked, employer reshares. CERTCHECK: tagged clicks, report starts, completed reports, company identification. SALES: qualified contacts, meetings booked/held, opportunities, revenue attribution. QUALITY: accuracy, consent, brand compliance, on-time delivery, student learning.
Sample employer invitation
Subject: An early-career question for your leadership team
Hello [Name], I'm a student creator working with Most Loved Workplace® on a short video series about what young talent looks for in an employer. We'd love to ask you two or three questions about how [Company] attracts and develops early-career talent. If you participate, we'll prepare a short edited clip for your review and possible sharing. We also invite employers to explore their free employer-brand and preliminary certification-eligibility reports through CertCheck. Would you be open to a brief interview?
What MLW must have ready before students start
• Confirm exact live CertCheck report names, eligibility language, and free-report experience.
• Validate that campaign tracking, report completion, and HubSpot handoff work end to end.
• Provide approved outreach templates, employer target criteria, consent/release forms, claims checklist, and content examples.
• Name one supervisor and one sales owner; agree on weekly review and response times.
• Set permissions for social accounts, CRM, student footage, participant data, and employer approval.
• Establish approved distribution channels and a process for customers to reshare their videos.
Academic value, supervision and selection
This is a structured internship with genuine learning objectives: interviewing, digital storytelling, editing, B2B marketing, campaign attribution, responsible data handling, and communicating with professionals. Students receive orientation, an assigned supervisor, weekly feedback, clear deliverables, and approval before public posting. FAU credit, compensation, schedule, equipment, and applicable policies will be confirmed with the university. Students should submit two or three finished work samples and complete a short audition before selection.
The bottom line
Students create the videos and manage the approved distribution workflow. CertCheck delivers the free employer-facing reports. MLW sales converts qualified employer interest into business conversations. The program succeeds only when that complete chain is visible and measurable.
Best Practice Institute is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on the basis of operational excellence, customer empathy, and what you can demonstrate you've delivered.
