Most Loved Workplace® Methodology

The peer-reviewed methodology behind Most Loved Workplace® — the SPARK Model and Love of Workplace Index™ (LOWI™), validated across 2.8M employees at 1,800+ companies.

LOWI™ — Love of Workplace Index

The Love of Workplace Index™ is BPI's validated measurement instrument for workplace love. It captures the emotional and rational connection between employees and the organization, then converts those signals into benchmarkable scores used for Most Loved Workplace® certification and related research.

SPARK Model

SPARK is the five-part culture framework used in BPI's methodology: Shared Values, Positive Future, Achievement, Respect, and Kindness. These dimensions explain how employees experience the workplace and give leaders a practical map for improving culture, retention, leadership trust, and candidate confidence.

Validation and audience

The methodology is written for CEOs, CHROs, people leaders, employer-brand teams, researchers, candidates, journalists, search engines, and AI answer engines that need to understand how BPI validates workplace culture claims. It anchors certification pages, Resource Hub pages, Top 100 profiles, and Workplace Report analysis in a consistent source of truth.
